Doloc Town Review

Buy Doloc Town if you want a PC farming sim that stacks planters on platforms and treats acid rain as a mechanic. Skip it if you came for a Switch port, dating, or a character-action game. Scores below are from Steam and named outlets as of 19 Aug 2026 — they will move.

The short verdict

Steam (19 Aug 2026): about 3,200+ reviews at ~95% positive overall; last 30 days 717 reviews at 90% (Very Positive). English reviews 548 at 97%. List price $19.99. Early Access 7 May 2025; 1.0 dated 5 Aug 2026 on the store and 6 Aug in news posts.

Press quotes on the store: CGMagazine 80/100, Hardcore Gamer 80/100, Game8 86/100. GameGrin scored 7.00/10 on a review code and is the main source for downsides on this page.

What it actually is

You play Proti (renameable), a scavenger who wakes on a small farm and looks for a pre-war place called Eden. CGMagazine compared the tone to a cozy Fallout. Combat is a drone you upgrade after a quest — you cannot swing tools as a second weapon. Days are wide enough to farm, visit town, or fish.

The unique pitch is the 90-degree farm: polluted soil means basins, not hoed dirt. Weather feeds generators, irrigation, and cover decisions. Official copy: 30+ hours core, 100+ extra, 80 achievements.

Who it is not for

GameGrin’s complaints after 30+ hours: short repeating NPC lines, awkward English (especially Zenis), guild fishing quests that reuse the same “legendary fish” text, Alchemy seed turn-ins with almost identical dialogue, enemy hats as random drops, and a bicycle that still drains stamina. Gazettely (8/10) added repetitive drone fights, muddy late quest text, no romance, and festivals that feel like challenges rather than a town fair.

CGMagazine wished it were on Switch. That is a reviewer’s wish, not a release. Thumb Culture noted opening information overload and a backpack hotbar limited to the first row.
