Farming

Doloc Town Farm Layout

The farm is rotated 90 degrees. You build planters, set them on platforms, and stack sprinklers, chests, generators and walkways upward. Reviews agree on that. They do not agree on “6 tiles wide” or “three pots per floor,” so those numbers stay off this page.

Why you build up

Polluted soil cannot be hoed (GameGrin). Basins can be carried indoors. Chests pick up into the backpack and drop again; buildings must be dismantled first. Gazettely: convenient space is scarce — a basin three ladders above storage gets annoying; a basin next to water, fertiliser and shipping feels like a tiny factory.

Weather is part of the blueprint

Acid rain hits exposed crops and buildings. Heat raises water use. Lightning rods turn storms into power. Ordinary rain can water outdoor crops. Tents and containers add both space and cover. Patch 1.00.04 stopped agricultural drones from tarping crops inside undamaged buildings.

1.0 extra plots

1.0 news added a final farm expansion plus two outdoor farming plots unlocked by quests. Automation (powered sprinklers, farm drones) changes the daily loop once you can afford it. Do not spend day-one gold on a full factory.
